Forest Bathing - #OptOutside Event

#OptOutside was started in 2015 by retail company REI (a favorite of outdoor guides) to encourage people to get outside instead of shopping on Black Friday (the name given to the day after U.S. American Thanksgiving). REI closes all of its stores and online shopping and gives employees a paid day off to spend in nature. In the spirit of the #OptOutside movement, let's spend some time forest bathing in nature. 

In forest bathing, we go outside into nature to go deep within ourselves. Participants are guided to quiet and slow down, listen to the quiet voice inside, and use all of their senses, allowing nature to wash over them. The session will culminate with a tea ceremony on the land. Forest bathing is not a hike but a saunter in a beautiful natural setting. Learn more about forest bathing here.
